Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant
Job Summary:
The Physician Assistant may perform medical services only when such services are rendered under the supervision of a fully licensed physician. Because the Physician Assistant provides a higher level of care, it enhances facility's patient safety program by decreasing the potential for medical errors, for example, wrong site surgery, correct patient, etc.
Responsibilities also include:

Performs clinical evaluations, problem assessments, initiates diagnostic and utilization treatment plans and educates patients.

Performs quality improvement activities.

Provides assistance with staff development and precepting students/new employees, and providing community/professional education.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience in Cardiovascular Medicine
- Graduate of an accredited and/or approved physician assistant program
- Physician Assistant, ARNP, and NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) Certified
- BCLS & ACLS is also required
