Full time opportunity for Associate Director - Heart & Lung Dept (40 hrs/wk, 8a-5p).  Primary responsibilities are both administrative and clinical accountability to Heart & Lung Dept.  Works with Director to plan budget, staffing needs, manage daily department operations and oversee competency of staff.  Provides leadership in growth and development of new services.  Critical thinking skills and good customer service needed for outpatient cardiopulmonary service line. 
Previous experience in cardiopulmonary outpatient stress testing and sleep studies a must. The successful candidate will have critical care experience with 2-5 years of management experience, interpersonal skills and budget management experience
 
Position Responsibilities:  Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in planning, directing, and the provision of care to the patients.  Provides leadership to staff and serves as management representative for the area(s) of  supervision.  Works cooperatively within the department and other services to create a system of quality health care.  Performs leadership functions associated with the following areas: staffing, staff competencies, department QA, patient satisfaction, JCAHO compliance and management of hospital and department specific policy and procedures. Works with interdisciplinary team to provide leadership in compliance with applicable JCAHO standards, safety standards and provide leadership in growth and development of new services in area(s) of  supervision.
Responsible for a total of 18 FTE's in Heart & Lung, CardioPulmonary, Vascular Lab and Sleep Lab.
  
Requirements: 
Current licensure as an RN
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
Critical care nursing experience.
Previous experience (2-5 yrs) in leadership/management position.
