Director ICU/PCU/Med-Surg

Medical Surgical Unit

The second floor of our hospital is devoted to our medical/surgical patients. We have 24 rooms all of which are private for your comfort and convenience. The staff here specializes in caring for patients with general medical issues as well as surgical recovery.

A complete staff of Hospitalist physicians provides care and monitors patients during their stay. All of our Hospitalists are board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. We also have a full range of other specialists on staff and a team of qualified nurses to provide the most complete care for our patients.

Progressive Care Unit

With twelve private patient rooms, the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides full service care for patients that are recovering from more complex procedures and illnesses.

Intensive Care Unit

We also have an 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU). All patient rooms are private and the unit is staffed with exceptional physicians and nurses that work with patients requiring additional care.

Responsibilities:

The Director is responsible for the planning, implementing, evaluating, coordinating, directing and supervising all processes and unit based patient care services on a 24 hour basis in accordance with recognized and accepted internal and external standards in order to facilitate optimum care and health education for patients and appropriate utilization of resources which support daily operation in his/her area. Demonstrate effective leadership. Directs area business through the formulation, administration and analysis of the annual budget, strategic and business plans.  Keeps abreast of new knowledge and current trends in the healthcare delivery system.  Informs and/or interprets policies and procedures to personnel, physicians, patients and visitors.  Actively participates in committees as indicated, requested or assigned.  Helps managers/staff investigate patient, visitor, employee and physician incidents and take immediate action to resolve it, including follow-up. 

Qualifications:

BSN, Master's preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years experience as director in critical care.  ACLS, BLS
